The first time I heard that in a Neville Goddard audiobook, it stopped me dead in my tracks.
I immediately rewound the recording to hear it again.
Multiple times.
Because I didn’t understand it.
Not intellectually.
But intuitively, I knew that it was the breakthrough I’d been searching for.
When you stop to think about it, it makes total sense.
Nothing you see means anything.
No event… no person, place or thing…
NOTHING you see means anything.
You have given everything you see, hear, touch taste and smell all the meaning that it has for you.
Some of the things you see — or have seen in the past — might have emotionally charged meaning for you. Maybe even HIGHLY emotionally charged meaning.
But it was you who gave it that meaning.
This explains how some people can make a hell out of heaven… and vice versa for other people.
Because nothing you see means anything. You have given everything you see all the meaning it has for you.
This causes a lot of problems for a lot of people.
Since I work with entrepreneurs, I’m not always privy to all the problems this causes for my clients. However, I frequently see all the business and income problems it causes for the people I work with.
Especially people who offer high value services. People like…
Coaches, consultants, copywriters…
Authors, thought leaders and speakers…
People who sell information products…
People in charge of getting high-ticket customers into a business…
And really, anybody who offers any kind of high value skill that helps others.
In almost every case, these entrepreneurs have trouble attracting clients and getting paid the fees that their services are really worth.
There are several reasons for that. One of the core problems is always this:
You can’t see the picture if you’re in the frame.
And as a result, you’ve assigned the wrong meaning to certain key things that affect your business.
And just as surely as night follows day… because “your world, and all within it, is your conditioned consciousness objectified,” you attract the exact equivalent to the value you’ve erroneously assigned to a crucial aspect of yourself and/or your service.
Which in most cases results in one or all of the following:
1. No clients…
2. Poor quality clients…
3. Low fees
And if you don’t change the meaning(s) you’ve erroneously assigned to certain critical aspects of yourself and your business… things are never gonna change for you.
Listen, it’s pretty darn hard to do this work by yourself. In fact, it’s so hard that most people can’t do it by themselves.
Even if you can do it successfully for others… it’s darn near impossible to do it for yourself. Because… you can’t see the picture if you’re in the frame.
And you don’t know what you don’t know. So you focus on improving the wrong things. Which never improves the three biggest problems…
1. No clients…
2. Poor quality clients…
3. Low fees
