I just heard some bad news.
It was literally minutes ago while I was just on the phone with Jackie. While we were chatting a call came in from Brian Keith Voile’s mother.
She could barely get the message out.
Brian just passed on from this world.
Yes, Brian was one of the best copywriters I know.
And one thing many people don’t know, he was also a top notch guitarist and composer. And I mean really good. As in, he could have done studio/side man work for a major artist.
Much more important than all that, he was one of the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet.
Every time I asked him, “How ya doing, Brian?… he always replied with, “I’m blessed.”
Even when I knew how badly he was struggling with the issues we all struggle with… his response was always the same, “I’m blessed.”
Brian has shared some very personal things with me that I will always treasure. Because I feel it was an honor that he trusted me enough to share intimate details of his life.
I hope you had the opportunity to get to know Sir Brian. If you did ever meet Brian you were probably the recipient of one of his famous bear hugs.
Best. Bear hugs. Ever.
I felt truly, deeply loved every time he hugged me. (And NOBODY can fake that.)
But if you never had the opportunity to meet him, I hope this brief little message gives you a small glimpse of a truly spectacular man.
Sir Brian, rest in peace.
And now that you’re so much closer to God, please pray for us Knights who are still stuck here holding down the fort.
All the best,
Doberman Dan
