Dear Friend,
I’ve spent most of the past two decades as my own best client… writing copy for my own entrepreneurial projects.
It pays really well and my client is pretty easy to tolerate… most of the time.
The best part? He does everything I tell him to do without whining, excuses or delay… and that attitude… and those actions consistently bring him in a rather healthy chunk of change.
He’s pretty much the ideal client.
But… occasionally… in a rare moment of weakness… I’ve been known to take a client or two.
It’s pretty sporadic but it does happen.
Anyhoo… I guess rumors spread fast in our little world and word has gotten out that I sold my supplement business a couple months ago.
Since then requests about my availability have surged. The back and forth with these overly optimistic folks reminds me of a scene from Dumb & Dumber:
Lloyd: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me… ending up together?
Mary: Well, Lloyd, that’s difficult to say. I mean, we don’t really…
Lloyd: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I’d say more like one out of a million.
[pregnant pause]
Lloyd: So you’re telling me there’s a chance… YEAH!
Actually, your odds may be a little better. Click here to find out.
