There once was a little girl who decided to go on a trip with her five brothers.

It was a very important trip. And they needed to arrive as quickly as possible… and as safely as possible.

So they started on their journey.

Soon thereafter, all kinds of scary things started happening all around them. And seemingly insurmountable obstacles were placed in their path.

The little girl’s five brothers were afraid. And because of that, they started leading her astray.

The little girl said to herself, “If I continue to rely on my five brothers, I will be afraid and lost, too. Then I will never get to my very important destination.”

So she made a new plan.

She silently said a prayer of gratitude for her five brothers.

After all, they weren’t intentionally trying to lead her astray. Their goal was to protect her from harm.

But now that she was in this new and scary situation… with all these seemingly insurmountable obstacles… it was obvious that following her five brothers would never get her to her very important destination.

So she did this:

She reached into her backpack and pulled out a spool of thread spun from gold. And she tied it to the sun to make sure she would never get lost.

Now don’t get me wrong. After her golden thread was tied to the sun, the scary things and seemingly insurmountable obstacles didn’t go away.

The little girl knew that by focusing on them, she would get lost just like her five brothers.

So she stopped following her five brothers and instead looked to the sun for guidance.

And the sun led her safely to her destination.

I’m sure that if you had the time, you could intuitively understand the meaning of this story. However, since time is of the essence right now, I’ll give you the interpretation:

The little girl is you.

The very important trip is your goal… your dream… your chief desire.

The five brothers are your five senses and your ego, the pseudo soul.

The scary things and seemingly insurmountable obstacles are what’s happening right now all around you… all over the world. Which we are being led to believe was fomented by a global pandemic.

The golden thread is your soul.

And the son has been called many different things by many different people. Some call it a name that sounds exactly like “the sun” but is spelled differently.

The names that resonate most strongly with me are “consciousness” … “the Self” … or the “I Am.”

Call it whatever you like. It’s the being you truly are.

The five brothers leading the little girl astray is what happens when you rely on your ego (the pseudo self) and your five senses. Because that causes VERY real and measurable psychological and physiological changes in your body.

And THAT, my precious protégé, is what I teased about in the title of this post. These psychological and physiological changes are the things you MUST avoid like the plague if you want to not only survive this current crisis… but also prosper.

In case you don’t know, those psychological and physiological changes in your body are called by another name… FEAR.

Or… if you’re too macho to admit to being afraid, it’s also called “anxiety.”

And there are very, VERY powerful forces at work right now… backed with all the money in the WORLD (no exaggeration) who are working overtime to keep you in fear. Or in the BEST-case scenario… in a never-ending state of anxiety… even if you aren’t completely conscious of it.

Listen, after being an inner-city street cop for 12 years… and 30 years as a serial entrepreneur… with one legal bankruptcy and four additional ‘technical’ bankruptcies, one which forced me to live in my car… I am intimately acquainted with fear.

And make no mistake about it… there is NO salvation in the presence of fear. Because it drives out the one and only thing that can save you.

So please… I implore you with all my heart and soul… if there ever was a time, NOW is the time to make the conscious decision to stop allowing your five brothers to lead you astray.

Instead, now more than ever is the time to ignore your five brothers, tie your golden thread to the sun and look to it for guidance.

However, don’t think that once you’ve tied your golden thread to the sun that everything will be peaches and cream.

Just like the little girl experienced after she tied her golden thread to the sun, the scary things and seemingly insurmountable obstacles will still be there.

And I know from experience that your five brothers will be RELENTLESS in trying to get you to follow them.

But if you do that, your fear and anxiety will only continue. Or most likely, it will get WORSE.

As a result, you’ll wind up wandering in the desert, lost. And you’ll never get to your very important destination.

So do this instead:

Make sure that your golden thread stays connected to the sun. (I do that with daily meditation, heart rate variability breathing and reading ancients texts about the Self, the kingdom within.)

In addition to that, I keep my eyes on the sun and ignore the five brothers. Because they constantly try to lower my level of consciousness into the sub-200 levels of shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger and pride.

And if you allow the five brothers to do that, my revered reader, it’s game over. Because the only thing that can save you cannot operate in you in the presence of fear.

So right now… today… right this very MINUTE, in fact… do this:

Stop everything you’re doing — because there’s truly NOTHING more important than this right now — and connect your golden thread to the son, however you choose to do that.

Then use THIS master key…

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things.”
